Default Leak Proof Seals vs. O.E.M. fork seals

Have you tried them?

Notice any difference?

Heard anything?

The claim:Leak Proof fork seals positively stop leaking fork oil and reduce stiction up to 80%, compared to regular fork seals Pro-Moly seals reduce stiction 20% more than standard Leak Proof seals Teflon coating significantly reduces seal drag in todays sophisticated front forks

Can't speak for these seals, but I would think the stock OEM seals should be more than sufficient.......

I would tend to agree, but these come with a lifetime warranty!

Maybe you can find them on a site like Amazon.com and see if there are any reviews from people who have used them?

Most of what causes fork oil leakage to any excessive amount isn't the seal but rather the bushings which cause flex in the tubes and oil to blow by the seal. This is why it's almost an automatic to replace the bushings when you replace the seals, because if it's not already the barring then it's not far behind.

I don't think I'd want a seal that worked so well as to mask a bushing problem.

Which bearings are you referring to? Steering stem bearings?

Mentally on a different page than my fingers were. I meant to say bushings all those times - edited my post to reflect that.

Must be a Monday!
