41t sprocket for VLX?

So I went for a long ride yesterday and instill find it uncomfortable at speed. I've tried to order a 41t sprocket before and they sent me the wrong one. So, I was hoping one of you might have a supplier and part number. It a 2006. My hands kept going numb from the vibration at 55-65. Also, I put a mustang seat on it and found it cuts into my lower back after awhile. Still sore from that. Any ideas would be appreciated. I don't think they make a backrest for this seat.

JT makes one, I may be able to get you a number but it may take me a couple days.
I Put one on the wifes VLX, wish I had done it sooner for her.

Thank you....I bought a JT sprocket last time and it wouldn't fit. Maybe they just sent me the wrong one.

I just recently threw out the package it came in, but I can call the dealer tomorrow and ask for the part number that was sold to me. they keep track of all my sales. see if you can go to a couple sites and get a part number, make sure they match.

What does a 41T sprocket do for the VLX? Just improve the top end speed?

Do you need a new chain when you replace the rear sprocket???or just shorten it. I did this to my stratoliner, but it's a belt. So had to get a new belt as well.

I'm told you can just shorten it if its in good shape n the sprocket is mainly to lower rpm's at highway speeds nor some reason I don't understand they only put a 4 speed tranny on the VLX. So, when you get above 55 it's wound up pretty good and that causes a lot of vibration in the bike...especially the bars.

It streched the gearing out a noticable bit as well, very nice. I wont even shift to 4th now till I hit 45 to 50 on the VLX.
I did consider a 40, but not so sure about that.
JT or SUN also make a 17 front, which brings it to a little better than 3 down on the rear, but I here its tight clearance, and you wont have to shorten the chain.

You haven't even gotten near the top of your gears yet. Winding it out I've hit 55mph in 2nd, 70 in third...

the 41 tooth sprocket make all the gears in the vlx way taller.

What does it do to the power?

I'm sure it will take some of the low end torque away, but the timing mod and accelerator pump mod are supposed to make up for it. I've already done those and they made a lot of difference!
