Spokes

Well getting ready to bring the bike in for winter maint. Rode the other morning it was 32 out, not bad but need tires,susp service and a good wrenching....while the wheels are off im contemplating new spokes. The chrome on the rims is fine but the spokes on a 16 yr old bike need help. Anyone know where a set can be purchased from? Thanks

Yeah I did think of the wraps but i like the chrome look too...

Spokes aren't chrome,,just shiny which with age dulls.

Dulls real fast when you use spray on wheel cleaner. Seen that mistake several times. Spokes are just zinc plated and the wheel cleaner eats it off.

I used to work in a motorcycle shop years ago. Changing spokes is quite a project. If you have it done expect to pay a bunch. If your doing it yourself, a trueing stand and dial indicator is important to have.

Ok what about a new used set of rims? Any idas where to even begin to look, or who to contact...may be looking at wraps more now...

i saw a couple of rear rims with the tires on ebay for my bike, that's where I'd look or if you have a local metric used bikes shop around call them and see if they have the parts you need. I'll probably do that monday looking for a new shadow tank.
