Default 2002 Shadow Spirit 750, plug wires

I have one cylinder obviously not firing. I thought NO PROBLEM, I'll start by changing the plugs. As I pulled the right front plug wire I pulled the wire out of the rubber cap.
I logged on to buy a new plug wire/cap assy and I see that they are sold seperately.
My questions are:
Did I harm anything? How do I put the wire back in the cap and insure proper connection? Is there an aftermarket plug wire with the cap(s) already installed? Where?

Push it back in. That's how they are designed.

I did the same thing. I just cut the tip off and screwed it right back on.

I will tell you that my 03 honda shadow spirit had the same issue with the first cylinder. What fixed mine was a new battery. my battery was just two weak.

Default low voltage!!!

wow, I wouldn't have expected a low battery to cause that. I'll check that.
