Aftermarket Petcock/Fuel Valve - Honda Shadow Forums : Shadow Motorcycle Forum

I'm looking for an aftermarket replacement to my petcock/fuel valve.

I have a 2001 Shadow Spirit (VT1100C) which takes the OEM part #16950-MAH-023. I looked on pingel's site and they do not carry a part that is compatible, according to their chart and a quick e-mail.

Golan Prodcuts (Motorcycle Petcocks and Fuel Valves from California | Golan Inc) part #76-312D-CL looks promising, but I cant find the specs for the 2001 Shadow Spirit's petcock anywhere. I've scoured the service manual.

Does anyone know what the specs are of the petcock on my specific bike, or if not, have recommendations for an after market rebuildable replacement. I'd really like to move away from OEM here, but it's starting to look like I may not have a choice.

Pingel I think is the proper spelling for the manufacturer, I think its a 22mm Thread.

My 2004 shadow tank did not come with a petcock and I was just looking for a much cheaper alternative then the 56 dollar OEM one.

Note: Try to delete but can't...Sorry for hijacking thread.
