If its the kill switch, just hot wire the starter solenoid. Bridge the two big red terminals and your startermotor should run.
If it runs, soak your killswitch in WD40. Keep flipping it while you'r drowning it in WD40.

If it still won't run it could be your startermotor.

Its very common overhere in Holland that startermotors on the Shadows will heavely corrode on the inside and finaly they get stuck and quit turning.

PROBLEM SOLVED!!!

First I'm just going to thank everyone for their input and efforts toward getting the Green Beast back on the road (well kinda, still kinda shotty out for riding).

Secondly, Everyone prepare yourself with a good joke to throw at a young rider without a whole lot of experience maintaining his bike.

Plain and simple... The battery terminals were dirty and corroded. I didn't think they were, but when I took the seat off and tried to give it a start just for the hell of it I heard a pop again and just happened to catch a spark arcing between the battery's terminal and the battery cable.

I pulled the battery out and noticed there was some black coating on the terminals. Grabbed a brillo pad and some baking soda, and a little scrubbing later she's yelling at me without baffles

You never knew how much you missed riding your bike until it's been sitting for a month and then some.

I think next I'll be taking apart the starter switch and cleaning the contact points as preventative maintenance.

P.s. She still doesn't have a name. Suggestions are welcome.
