noise 2004 honda shadow vlx delxue

ok so my front brakes were not the issue of the noise I was hearing and now I believe it is the chain. The chain and sprocket looks good but will change in soon. I just want to tighten the chain up to see if that is the issue or not but I cannot find my manual anywhere to find out what the specs for the torque is on the axle bolt? Any ides guys.

Are you by chance running Metz 880's? An interesting discussion on another forum has shown some riders to experience 'road noise' after approx. 50% wear on the 880 tires. Just a thought.

From the honda service manual covering 1997-2006

Torque 88 N-m (9.0 kgf-m) or here in the states it's 65 lbf-ft
