Well, got brave, so here is the speedo trim piece:

Tough piece to brush with so many angles/curves etc., but between using a straight edge to guide my hand on the top and propping the piece in various positions and using a flat surface to guide my hand to get the curve on the front, I think I managed to get it to come out to my liking. What do you think?

At least you got all chrome prepped to shoot with flat black. :-/

Thanks... . Just realized looking at the top picture of the speedo trim that it goes pretty good with the stock finish on the trees...bonus.

I saw a Harley tank that had this type of finish from the factory. It looked really good.
I really like what you did. I might do this to the ends of my bikes pipes.
