I need to replace my battery. Any tips for making this job easier on an 03 VLX would be appreciated.

Easiest is get someone else to do it. I have a 2001 and have not came up with an easy way it is a pain in my opinion. Takes me at least 45 min start to finish

I have a PDF from the online manual which shows step by step. I tried to upload it but the size is too big. If you send me a personal email i can send you it that way if you like.

It's a pain and you need two people.

Take off both side covers,,loosen and remove both cables,,- & +. Neg from the left side, poss from the right side. Slide the battery out on the right (pipes side) side.
