In need of two new needles. '87 VT1100 ( 68000miles)
Honda calls it obsolete. Can use some suggestions where to get. Was thinking of buying a complete Factory Pro carb kit to get the needles I need, but you night have better suggestions where to get those. Its number 20 in the picture ![]() Thanks in advance, JP

is this off bikebandit.com?
if it is try 2wheelpros.com. I personally do not like bikebandit because they "censor" all their parts. Instead of the manufacture part number they put their own "part number" which makes it impossible to cross reference with other size for better prices or to find it somewhere else when they don't have it. Edit: well i just looked up on 2wheelpros.com they dont have it. Do you know of any other bike model in your series that are the same? Example i have a 84 shadow 500 and I needed a new blinker relay. I cross referenced it and took about 30 min but i figured out that 80% of the shadows use the same relay even if it was square and mine was round. bought one off ebay for 12 bucks instead of 40 from the website worked beautifully. Edit Found the part number : 16151-MG8-771 idk if you had that already but there it is. I usually just google it from there. Worst case scenario is you might have to buy a complete used assembly to do that off ebay edit again: I believed this is used http://www.motosport.com/dirtbike/oe.../16151-MG8-771 I think this is new http://www.ronayers.com/ProductDetails/N/687/SKU/250139

Try looking at diagrams on motogrid.com - you can get the real manuf. #, and also do a search for other models that used the same part:

This is what every web shop says. Guess it will be some dyno kit then like those from Factory Pro

I had this same problem. Needles from a 1990 should be the same. I had an 88 vt1100 honda part obsolete. Ordered either 89 or 90 needles. Worked just fine. Contact this man if you have any questions he can cross referance it for you (540) 588-0007

I do not order parts anymore untill I am sure they are available. Have had issues with several companys like Babbit ( Honda Partshouse ) where items where listed available which I ordered & payed for and after a few days they apeared to be obsolete. As I am in Holland I have an exchange rate from € to $. Got my money back in the end but in exchange rate from $ back to € did cost me money. Thats whats it's called paying for nothing. Thanks all for the links to the parts. Will get my wifes VT1100 back on the road.

If the official Honda parts sources say "Not Available", then you have to go "aftermarket", like:
Carb Kit Capital - Motorcycle Carb Parts Motorcyclecarbs Carburetors, Carburetor Parts and Carburetor Rebuild Kits Jets R Us mikuni, keihin, hitachi, holley, jets and carb parts Jet kits for Carburetors One of those should have the needles AND needle jets you need - always replace them as a pair, don't try to just replace a needle without also replacing its jet.
