Testing out new lighting mod

I received my order of 2 24" Switchback white/amber LED tube lights yesterday. I plan on attaching them to my engine guards to act as both auxiliary lighting and hazards, with the ability to change back and forth with a switch. Here's my first test.

I was able to get everything working pretty well although I have two issues. 1. I would need to access the strobe module every time I want to change from solid to flashing, and the strobe module isn't weatherproof so it would need to be tucked inside one of the side covers. 2. As the lights are wired, it seems like I need two switches, one per side, to switch from white to amber as the strobe module isn't "smart" enough to tell the lights to do so. I might have an idea to work around that but I have yet to be able to test it out.

Anyway, thoughts? I do a lot of escort/parade stuff with Warriors' Watch and since these bikes for some reason don't have a built in hazard light option, I wanted to do something up that's really attention grabbing. It'll also be cool to have added lighting.

1.) a three-position 12V switch ( ON-OFF-ON ) to differentiate between Hazard / Aux.

2.) a tiny $9 motion sensor switch from Oznium, mounted near your handlebar risers. ( Wave left hand past it within 6", to turn on strobe flasher unit for whichever light is on, per switch # 1, above.)

They are rated to handle 3A.

The Oznium motion switches are "splashproof" but the factory tech there told me to apply thin layer of clear silicone around parting lines in switch housing, and around entry point of wires, to waterproof it.

Hope that helps!
