Gentleman, I need your help again. The brake light is always on. It is a aftermarket led, on a 2006 shadow spirit 750. I'm thinking it;s the switch but can't seem to find it. Am I looking in the right direction. If so where is the switch?
It should be down near the right front frame tube and another at the front brake on the handlebars. All that info is in your service manual that you should have. oem, BTW.
If it's an LED bulb, it could just be that you have it inserted backwards. If it's the switch, it's on the lower right side frame, and has a spring that goes to the brake pedal lever. There can be some adjustment made there, if that's what it is.
Had that issue on my rebel, turned out to be the front brake switch. Replaced it and issue was gone. It was on the underside and a finger from the brake lever activated it.
Yeah, but the bulb would be the easiest and first thing I would check. Those cheapo eBay led bulbs are junk. I would put in an incandescent bulb to check first. Then if it's still stuck on, start looking at the switches.
Gentleman,
Thanks for all your help. Once I started checking the wireing and linkage, I found a spring came off inside the frame by the cable adjustment. A pair of needle nose and the bike is fixed.
Thanks Again
