I've been looking for the past two weeks for the part number or part. I've seen lots of clutch switches but nine look lie this one. Any help for this part, it's from a 1985 Honda Shadow VT500C
This is so weird and confusing, I don't understand why this is so difficult, I've looked at both of the above switches within the past two weeks and they don't match, this first it not the right size and the second doesn't match the screw configuration. Weird that something this simple is turning to be the most difficult.
Thanks so much for your responses though!!
That switch in the picture is broken there's a piece that should go into it that that was removed prior to me purchasing a bike I'm trying to find the original switch so I can just replace the whole thing if you look and you see those three contact points it supposed to be just two contact points
Remember this a switch mandated by the manufacture/government. On older Hondas they didn't have them thus when the clutch cable broke and they did, you could start in gear and get on home etc. Now if you can't find a switch, welcome to the good ole' days. :wink2:
*Update..I found a replacement handle on line that had the switch on it. I'm back in business with something that was annoying me since starting my winter project!! Thx for all the advise and suggestions, guys!
