Clear headlight lens

I want to change my headlight lens from the stock one to a clear lens. I was looking at a pic I found and the guy had done the exact lens I want on his honda shadow sabre. He said the honda shadow aero had a clear lens and the headlight assembly will bolt into the factory bucket on the sabre. Is this true? Where would I go about getting one? He lists part # 10 for the headlight assembly and has a price of $54 listed and $9 for the rubber piece that goes around the connecter. I would love to do this but all I keep reading about is adjure and they are $150 from what I see.

I want the lens clear like that but that is a sealed beam replacement. There are others listed there that I could put my HID bulb in but I don't know if those will work for my bike. Can you remove the mounting bracket from our lens and put it on those to mount them?

To go clear,,,no lines on the lens,,,is what I think you are saying. I'm no expert but I think that if the lens was like that the light beam would be terrible.

PhantomRider64, I was thinking the same thing about the beam . I am pretty sure those lines are for directing the beam down and sideways as we are accustomed to. I remember years ago working on foreign cars that European sport car headlights were more open on the glass but were not approved for the USA because of the beam shape. Think of a flashlight beam compared to a headlight spread.

If the bike was only ridden during the day or was a show bike I see no problem.

The beam is directed or aimed by the reflector or rear of the light just like the headlights on your car or truck. The reflector won't be smooth like ours is. I put an hid in my lens and the output is awful.

Chances are that a OEM lense swap is possible w/o issues as long as they're the same diameter.
