Ok first off the bike is a 2003 Shadow Spirit 750 with 3121 miles. Second it might just be me, but...while cleaning her with "Blackhawk" spray cleaner i got from wally world, some hit the pipes. One of the pipes made a sizzling noise while the other didn't. Now this was about 3-5 minutes after shutting her down. Could one cylinder be firing hotter? according to some post i searched, this seems to be the problem. only other thing i've noticed is decel popping. Any ideas?

The front pipe runs cooler due to the air flow. Most of the time, because the rear cylinder is hotter, the bike will be jetted slightly richer on the rear cylinder.
If this is happening at idle it could be because the hotter cylinder is leaner on the idle fuel mixture. |
