Hi, newbe here. I have a 1994 vt 1100 and am trying to adjust the choke.
OEM honda manual says with lever all the way up and Clymers states with it all the way down, which is it? Also It seems when I loosen the adjuster on the choke cable on the hanlde bar and turn the elbow I cannot meet the required spec at all, any ideas? |

Well, I would agree with the service manual...Clymers isn't always the best source for work on "your" bike...they are more general.
The biggest concern for the choke is that it fully engages when the lever is pushed all the way down. To do this, you need to have all the slack out of the cable. My adjustment would consist of checking this and removing all slack I could. Be careful that you don't take too much out though...you don't want to run around with the choke partially on. Joe |

Joe[/quote Thanks I'll give that a shot, I just rejetted with stage one kit and I'm itching to take her out for a little exercise and see if it will pass muster or the carbs will have to come back off for some tweaking |
