86 vt700 fuse block

looking at the wiring diagram there are 7 fuses on the vt700.i have looked every where and cant find one fuse ,removed the pilot lights and still can't find them .can someone tell me where to look? thank you whiz630

on the 86 shadow carb there is a air cut off valve,what is it used for? and can it be removed?

In between your speedo and tach gages under the plastic. There should even be a diagram and a spare int there too, That is if the 86 is like my 85.

Nope, the 1986 is not like the 1983-1985 models. Sit on the bike, and turn the handlebars to the right. Now get off and look at the area under the speedometer, where the frame meets the forks. There's a plastic cover about 4 inches tall and an inch wide. That covers the fuses.

Place bike on center stand, turn handle bars to far right & you should see a black box on left hand side right below the handle bars. Believe one screw at top holds cover on.

Oh, don't worry! There's lots of people here with the 1983-1985 models. Almost everything between those three years is the same, except that most of the 1984/1985 models are 700s and not 750s.

fuse box

thank you guys for your help,i would have never found it. i own a 1985 vt 500,85 vt 700 and now 86 vt 700.and i think the 86 was one of a kind.seems like every thing on the bike is different. whiz630

on the 86 shadow carb there is a air cut off valve,what is it used for? and can it be removed?
