Is this normal. Is has a clunk to it when shifting. Usually 1st and 2nd is the loudest. What could I do to fix it if this isnt normal.

I am sure I'm quoting this exactly right. Per the service manager at my local dealership: "This is completely normal. It's a safety issue so that you don't accidentally shift into one of these gears when your not trying to." I thought the same thing about my bike.

Thanks for the info. I have been off on vacation the last couple weeks, so I am just getting back to the site. Still just enjoying the bike and learning all I can about it.

It is normal. But "a saftey issue" a big "NO" just more dealer BS.
not sure why he couldnt just say "it is normal" and leave it at that. i guess he had to say somthing to show you his IQ or not. kind of a typical dealer stupid response. especially Service Managers they are the worst. most are not even mechanics just salesmen. and poor ones at that. sorry! every time a stealer makes a stupid comment i have to vent. dave r |
