tire pressure

Anyone know what the tire pressure should be with the stock tires. Mine is an 03 Shadow Spirit 750dc. Its not listed on the tires and I dont have a manual. Stock Dunlop tires. Thanks in advance.

I'm not sure but there should be a sticker on the bike somewhere.

Look on your chain guard on the left side of the bike. It will list the normal and maximum tire pressures. But, I believe it is 30 front, 32 rear.

Thanks, I will look when I get home. Currently it has 16.5 in the front and 20 in the rear. The rear feels fine, but the front feels low.

Dude...they are both WAY low. Riding on either tire at those pressures will wear the tires out VERY quickly. Plus, it will build up heat which can ruin the tires. Put some air in those bad boys before you go riding again.

I figured they were low, thats why I asked, LOL. I will air them up tommorow. Thanks for the info, how long do the stock tires last anyway. These have 6900 miles on them. The bike had 6400 on it when I bought it and I put 500 miles on it in the last few weeks.

Are they showing signs of dry rot?
Start shopping if they won't hold air.

No, they look good. I will air them up and monitor them. They may have been low since I bought the bike, I didnt check them until today. I am going to upgrade the tires probably before the end of the year anyway, heard there were way better riding tires then these out there.

Well, found the sticker on the chain guard like stated. The bike has Dunlop 404s front and back. The front size matches the sticker, but the rear tire is a 150 and the sticker states 160. I thought these were the stock tires, but the rear size and model dont match the sticker. What is the size suppossed to be, 150 or 160. I aired them up, and I will monitor them for leakdown. They rode better thats for sure.
