Hey guys,
Just a quick question. In the photo of my bike below, there is a round chrome cover on the side of the cylinders that looks like an air box cover. I have one of these on each side, and they were there when I bought the bike. I have taken them off and can't see that they serve any other purpose other than eye candy chrome. Do people put these on just for looks? It's a 96 A.C.E, so the airbox is under the seat. I'm considering taking them off. Thanks. God Bless

Yes, fake!
Also, it's my understanding that there not factory! I have seen some of those where people have mounted horns in them! But other than that, they serve no purpose at ALL but looks, and that is if you like the looks of them! MarkC

I believe the cover on that side of the bike is intended to be a horn cover...at least that is what they are on Harleys...I believe. The air intake on the 750s is on the right side of the bike. Personally, I think the one sided air box makes the bike look asymmetrical. Got to have balance in looks and form.

Yeah...that's what I thought too, so I will be taking them off.
The guy who had the bike before me wanted it to be a Harley I guess, so he added all this stuff, even custom fenders (which don't fit very well

And did you say you are going to take them off? If so would you consider letting one of them go? for sale or other wise? I was thinking MAYBE about seeing if I could rig up a horn in one of them, maybe the left side of my bike. MarkC |

JBFAN -
Take them off ! The ACE is already a shameless copy of a Harley with the single pin Law suit inspiring Patato Potato sound. Kawasaki Also put the Chrome Harley Air breather cover on one of their cruisers. Shameless. That said. I throughly enjoy my Harly/Indian Replica. 1995 ACE/Red and White. Steve
