Hey All™,
I noticed that some of you don't use glue, and some do. Well, I did, and would like to find out some tips for removing the Honda brand glue. Anyone removed the grips after using this glue, and if so, what did you use, and how hard was it to remove. I'm thinking about changing bars, and I'd like to be able to get the Kury grips off, and onto the other bars without tearing them up. Suggestions??

I've heard of some people using a thin blade screwdriver and compressed air. When I changed mine out I was able to get the throttle grip off with a screwdriver. I had to cut he left grip off. Good luck.

I just took my OEM honda grips off last week to install heated grips. I used an old hacksaw blade. Pushed it all the way in and moved it back and forth. Did this all around the grip and it came right off. I then used denatured alcahol to get the old glue off worked great.

You want to remove Kuryakin grips to use on new bars? The grips are metal? I wish you good luck with that. Their glue is REALLY good glue. And I'm not sure you can get anything under them to pry it loose. Let us know please if you do manage this feat.

Lift the edge with a screwdriver and squeeze cotton balls soaked in acetone into the gap.. go all around the gripand pull it off. Don't delay in removing the grip, because the glue hardens again fairly quickly. Acetone is available from your auto parts or paint store .. or you can use nail polish remover which is mostly acetone.
