The pipes I have are too loud for me now. (They are the stock pipes with the baffles knocked out and holes drilled) Now I prefer to use stock pipes that come with the bike.
I have a 2005 Honda Shadow (Sabre) 1100cc model is VT1100C2 My question is, will pipes from a 2006 Honda Shadow (sabre) whose model is the same as mine (VT1100C2) The reason I'm asking is that, to save money I know someone that is selling their stock pipes, but his are from the 2006 model. Will it be compatible? Thanks |

I am going to go out on a limb here and say Yes...the 2006 Sabre pipes will fit your 2005 Sabre. The reason for the tree climbing is this...I haven't actually done it myself. Theoretically, it will work. There have not been any changes to the Sabre since its introduction in 2002 (I think that is when the first ones came out).
Did you adjust your carbs after doing the holesaw mod? If so, your bike might run a little rich when you put the stock pipes back on the bike. Won't really hurt anything but your mileage will go down because you are using more fuel than it truly needs. You could also get a gas smell from the pipes. Hope this helps. Joe |

Your answer confirmed my question. I also looked up the muffler part number for the 05 and 06 sabre and sure enough the honda part numbers are the same! Also i did not have any adjustments made to the carbs after knocking the baffles out, so i guess I wont have to may any adjustments when i put the new stock mufflers on.
Thanks for your speedy response! |

I'll vote yes as well.
I put a stock 98 Aero exhaust on my 96 ACE, only had to drill some holes in the rear bracket that was from a set of Bubs, shot gun style pipes. Honda used lots of interchangeable parts it seems, smart of them.
