Asking about oil is like asking about loud pipes, gear, or helmet laws. My advice is to read all the info in the Oilogy sticky and make up your own mind. Search the forum for oil and you'll find tons of threads. You need to decide synthetic vs. regular oil and then try one. The most important thing is to make sure it's not "Energy Conserving" oil. Generally, diesel oils, motorcycle specific, and most 10w-40 is not. As far as filters, the oilogy sticky will give you a link to a cross reference. You can't go wrong with stock, purolator, wix, or Supertech. I personally would never use Fram. |
