Default Straight risers & comfort

Hi there. Searched around and didn't find what i needed so here goes..

Thinking of adding straight, taller Harley style risers to give it a better look and more comfort riding position. (just need to enlarge the holes a tadd to make fit) I am unsure what length will be of comfort for me, I am 6' and currently ride somewhat hunched forward, still fun though!

If any one has changed to a straight style riser, please provide your thoughts. I plan on keeping the stock bars. I no longer curved risers will move the bars up and back. Figured a straight would be better for me considering my ape long arms. Thanks in advance...

i used to always put on aftermarket 6" straight risers (i've had several 750 spirits), and have done this for several people, and all like the looks, and if your long armed, it'll be much more comfortable

here's a quick pic of my cousins bike, i put these on for him (and he's basically a midget)

I used 4" risers made for a Valkyrie on my Shadow to bring the bars up about 2" and back 1-1/2" and it's alot better on my shoulders on long trips. I had to get longer bolts to mount them, but that's it. If you go any longer, you will more than likely have to get longer control cables and brake line.

What brand/model risers are these? Where did you purchase them? I know you'll probably laugh, but I'm thinking about installing a pair of mini-ape bars on my 2007 VT750DC Shadow Spirit. If I put the bars on top of the stock risers I think the bars will be too high and too far back. I was considering replacing the stock risers with 3" straight risers.

I'm after the same feel and look of maybe the Harley Dyna Wide Glide.

Thanks!
