Hello everyone!
Sorry to keep writing in like this, but I need a litle help with a brake light modulator. I purchased it from comagination as many of you on this forum have. Unfortunately the destructions are useless. Unless you are looking for destruction, in that case they are useful. The wiring illustration is very unclear as to what on the modulator goes to what. If blue is present, black is ground, but green trumps them all! I believe red is the feed from the brake light switch in. The others (blue and black, no clue) If anyone has a 2001 to present 1100 shadow spirit with a brake light modulator from comagination can you please let me know how you hooked yours up? I have black to ground blue to brakeights red to brakelight switch. I guess I just need to know what the modulator wires go to. Thank you for your help.

Hi
Thank you Jan for your reply. Unfortunately I can't find the instructions on line, they are not posted. The company is comagination. I do have a wiring diagram for my 02 shadow though. Green is ground Green w/yellow tracer is brake lights Brown is tail lights. Just not sure what the colors on the flasher unit are. I know red is the feed to the modulator. Just not sure if black is ground or blue is ground. The instructions say the modulators wires are black red green. I have black red blue, Hmm

http://www.comagination.com/bflasher.htm#Install
It’s EZ to install just 3 wires. Interrupt your vehicle’s power brake wire feed to lights (cut or disconnect it) and attached the VisiStop blue wire to the end going to the brake lights and the red wire to the brake switch. Then connect the black wire to the vehicle’s battery negative. Your done! VisiStop is about the size of a Reese's Mini Peanut Butter Cup candy with 3 wires. Really SMALL to mount hidden anywhere. It’s WATERPROOF. Just add up the total watts for all the brake light bulbs you want to control by VisiStop. This unit has a maximum power rating of 115 watts. This flasher requires 10-14 volts DC. Installs in high side power feed wire to brake light(s). Flasher is heavy-duty design

I wired in a simple turnsignal flasher into the wiring at the front brake switch. It was a snap! You just splice it in inline with the switch wiring, did'nt have to cut any wires, just terminal connections between switch and flasher.
Good luck, wiring can be a confusing animal. Ride hard,Ride safe!

Thank you for your replies.
I must be missing something here. I cut the green with yellow tracer wire (from the brake ligth switch) and spliced the red to one end and blue to the other. The black I spliced into the green (ground) nothing. not even a brake light. I have been making my connections under the seat. Is this where everyone else has been?

it's very important to connect the blue to the brake light wire and the red to the brake light switch. It doesn't work the other way around

I am sorry I should have been more specific.
I cut the brake light switch wire from yhe switch (green w/yellow) and spliced the red to one cut end and spliced the blue to the other cut end (green w/yellow) so the flasher is in series and spliced the black from the flasher to the solid green which is ground. Perhaps I need to get a better ground? The thing that is confusing me is the directions. They say green or black is ground if blue is present. Blue is present, but so is black, just not sure which is ground and which is the load to the lights. Only three wires, trial and error I guess.

The blue wire (modulator) goes to the other cut wire end (green w/yellow) going to the brake light. Black is ground. Did you do that??
