I am having a little problem that has left me unable to use my left leg. I am able to get on my 90 VT1100 and can even shift it but I can not get the side stand down. My leg will not bend enough to get to the stand and even if I could it is to weak to pull it down. I am only riding when I have somebody with me to drop the stand which really limits my riding time. Does anybody have any ideas how I can rig a electric or hydraulic way to put the stand up and down, any ideas will be appreciated.....Thanks.......

Locate an old fireplace "poker"...it has a point and hook type shape on the business end. I'd cut it shorter if it is too long and reattach the handle. This should allow you to reach under your left leg and push the kickstand down...and also grap it and pull it up and back to lift it. You will have to rig up or find some type of clip (similar to the U clips on some car hoods that stow the verticle prop rod) when not holding the hood open. Try to mount these at the fender bolts or sissy bar mounts, somewhat parallel to the ground so that it can be easily reached and stowed while seated. I'd rig some type of postive locking clip...so there is no chance of this falling off during a ride. Or make a similar device with a Y and hook on the end that will capture the kickstand. Good luck.

you could try and use a cable to operate it. Try something like a choke cable from a car.
