The buzzer was standard with my 84 Elite 125 scooter.

It also gets more aggressive the longer the signals are on. Every time the light blinks for the first 30 seconds it sounds one beep. After about 30 seconds, every time the light blinks, it sounds two beeps and so on.

I don't know why Honda didn't put it on all their bikes.

Alright! I did it last night. Two diodes connected at the banded end and that lead goes to the POS of the son alert. The negative to a good ground. I ran the other two leads off of the diodes to the connectors under the seat right by the rear fenders. I spliced the wires together and like a charm, it works.

One thing I noticed: While I was riding and turning, I found myself cancelling the turn signals before I even thought about being reminded by the chime.

Huh... did I need to do this? LOL

Say, does anyone know where I can get those Blue and Orange connectors from? I will post a pic for those who do not know what I mean.

I actually just install a turn signal beeper on my VLX. It works great!!

Here are the instructions I went with and it only required 1 buzzer and one rectifier, and was fairly simple to install.

Very nice! Mind you, it's a rectifier, which is essentially 2 (or sometimes 3 or 4 or 6) diodes. Way to go!

I do find that I am really in a hurry now to shut them off, especially sitting at a light. You really want to make the noise go away.

Ha! How about when another rider pulls up beside you? Doesn't it make you want to turn them off?

All those diodes are not necessary, that's just a lot of extra wiring and
work that isn't needed.

Wire the buzzer in at the flasher relay.

Power goes in to the flasher relay and then to the switch, which determines left or right indicator function.
If you wire the buzzer in between the switch and the flasher relay,
there is no need for diodes.

Relay to turn off signal buzzer.
I built the same turn signal buzzer circuit for my 1100 spirit this past weekend. Used a radio shack 75 dB 12v piezo buzzer and wired in parallel to the turn signal flasher. No diodes needed. I also added a Radio Shack 12V (NC) Normally Closed relay in series with the buzzer. I trigger the relay with a wire from the brake circuit. Whenever I hold the brake such as at a stop light the buzzer is shut off and the signal flashers continue to flash.
My piezo buzzer and relay are mounted to the signal flasher with double sticky tape. Every thing is placed in the stock location inside the neck cover.

cheers,
Haze
