These bikes came pretty lean from the factory. Using the "idle drop procedure" in the official manual, your idle mix screws will likely be set between 2 and 2.5 turns. This is too lean to generally get nice throttle response and you may end up with some popping during deceleration.
Many folks (including me) just set them at 3.25 turns and call it done. Gives better throttle response off the line and eliminates deceleration popping.
