Too big, sure , you'd loose power. The mixture has to be correct for the engine's best results, you can't go too far either way from 14.7 A/F ratio.

Your location can make a big difference, if your in Denver Co. the OEM jets could be to big because of thinner air, why do you think yours has jets that are too big???, did you think that the bike, which is a cruiser, would go like a sport bike?, if the jets are to small you will have a hole in your pistons and or burnt valves, best way to tell is the plugs after a freeway run, should be coffee with cream color.
