I am stuck on this step. How do I remove these round bolts? Or do I have to remove them? The manual's picture is also there in the "photostream" on the right side of webpage.

Can you reach around the back of those round bolts to see if you're seeing the bottom of them?
If the two hex heads at the right are removed, can you get those round ones out? DISCLAIMER: I've not done this before, I'm just speculating based on the pictures.

The local Honda dealer referred me to a local locksmith since they don't cut keys there.
Those are headless bolts that are permanently in place. The code is stamped on the outside of the cylinder: three numbers, a letter, then three numbers (123J456) Got two keys for $40; It was $35 for one. Time to start ridin'. Mauro.

According to my Clymer manual, those are "break-off bolts". It says to center-punch the bolts, then drill off the bolt shanks with a hand drill. It earlier notes that you should purchase new ignition switch break-off bolts when ordering the switch.
Please note that I'm not telling you drill out the bolts, but that's what the Clymer manual seems to say. Good luck! -redClayRider

Found the damn key: http://www.flickr.com/photos/9838830@N08/4727478239/
It was in a short's pocket. Looked in all my pants, but not my shorts. Well, at least I have spares now.

Honda has for many years use special "breakaway" screws to mount ignition switches on most of the vehicles they make. When installed the heads snap off at a predetermined torque value making it difficult for thieves to access the switch's wiring. To replace the switch they tell you to carefully drill out the old ones, new breakaway screws are included with the switch from the dealer. The last couple I had to replace I torqued just enough to secure the switch but stopped short of snapping off the heads so I could remove it again if necessary. A clever idea but I don't think it would stop a determined thief.
