Hey... I have a Honda Shadow Spirit 750cc. I am having problems with. either flooding or fouling plugs. It only happens in the morning. I will go out to start the bike. I will try to start without the choke, and it usually runs for a few seconds and then dies. I will pull the choke out. It will start and of course idle high. After about 15 secs, I will push the choke back in. On days that it acts up, it will die with the choke on. Then it will not turn over again. Any ideas on what is going on. I have taken it to the shop and they have not been able to find anything wrong with it.

Sounds like it is getting flooded. Once you have started it and it dies don't pull the choke out, I would just give it a minute and then start it again and add a little throttle to keep it running.

When you say, "not turn over again", is the starter not turning the engine? If so, I would question the battery. I usually don't touch the choke on mine, unless it is under 45 degrees or I haven't started her in a week or so. In the later case, I usually toggle the kill switch slowly a few times to trick the fuel pump to run and fill the carbs. Are the plugs fresh? These bikes can be finicky to start, especially with a weak battery.
