Default 2003 shadow 600 help!!!

k here is the skinny. advise needed from all the experence here.

My bike bogs in all gears at mid to high RPMs. It runs great in N but at stand still in 1st with clutch in bogs hard with decent gas. Ive pulled and cleaned the carbs checked the vacuum lines, cleaned the fuel screeners / filter (the one in the tank and the top of the carb).I also changed the plugs. Im running outa ideas.
Im about to take it in the the shop which kills me due to my moderate mechanical inclination

ok i take it back, forget the shop (they have screwed me twice know)

Any ideas?
thanks

Lee, what do you mean by "bogs", it is a 600 so it's not going to be a rip snorter so are you saying that when you give it throttle it doesn't want to rev faster, or does it want to slow down, how does it idle?, if it idles fine then it could be the diaphragm that pulls the slide up, it could have a hole or crack in it. give us all the details.

What do you mean by "decent gas" ??
If that means "premium", stop that.

Any mods to the engine, pipes, or air box/filter ?
How's the air filter look ?

In cases like this, I think a good dose of carb cleaner is advised.......to get any tiny passages you might have missed; it can't hurt.

Maybe you should look for a DIFFERENT shop 'cause you will probably need one someday.

thanks for the replies so far.

In neutral, I can rev the engine all the way through. In 1st with clutch in the engine cuts out and struggles to gain RPMs as I roll on the throttle. Im using regular fuel. I ran sea foam through this tank with no change. I can visualize the slide raising when putting on the throttle in neutral. filter was just replaced. diaphragms all looked great when disassembled. It Idles great

I am starting to think maybe electrical since i can rev through with the bike in neutral but not in gear. but i have no experience their.

I can gain RPMs when in gear but its very jerky and inconsistent.

Thanks again Folks
Sorry for the confusion
