[I'm sitting at work... with napkins sticking out of my work shoes... My pants covered with blanket to make it dry faster... every open space used to dry leather vest and my jacked... I'm pissed on whole world including my self
Lesson learned!!! Weather winked me that it's time to do the most expensive part of my riding experience - purchasing proper gear, for too long i was thinking that i could avoid investing into good riding gear but i think today was a last drop... When i step out to warm up the bike weather was nice and cool - so i put regular polo jacket underneath leather vest. And went to work, while cooler air of winter was suggesting that leather jacket is a better idea... ...I was doing 70 miles on I95 when first drops of rain started to fall... all what I had to pass was a small section between Stirling and Sheridan... when skies broke loose... In a matter of 1 minute i went to soaking wet condition... With all widening of road i wasn't risking stopping and putting rain gear on... So... time to spend money... |

Okay folks time to share some news
Cooler time brings new interesting obstacles for a daily rider like me. And because of that I decide to share my thoughts on equipment. As you might already know anything what have "motorcycle" on label means hard hit on your wallet. But... you know... it worth it! Right now I'm investing in proper gear - not because of higher safety, but due to comfort. So far i'm expending to spend on gear somewhere around 1.500 - but if it would be as comfy as pants and boots are now - i definitely wouldn't regret it. And then I'll be facing budget hole to change motorcycle... I'm leaning more and more on getting ST1300 But... let's step away from expenses This week i finally meet up with old friend of mine, and since we're both kinda crazy we decided to enjoy some ribs and hamburger in Naples, oh yeah... i think after US27 - Tamiami trail is my second most preferred route... so what could be wrong for looneys like we are in a ride from one coast to another - nothing! Oh... if there would be a wife of my bud reading this: I admit, i forced him to go straight by promise of hamburger, until sign of Naples he had no idea where we are going! During the ride we stopped to get some pic proof: ![]() Now interesting part, you see that building in the back - that's the same building which was filmed in old comedy "Gone Fishing"! On a way back we pretty much freeze to saddles so we could push comeback in record time What else... huh... |
