I'm absolutely unsatisfied with my behavior this morning... and here is why...
As always I geared up and jumped in the saddle of my Shadow. I went thru school zones, throttled up to out of jurisdiction cop and minding my own business went to highway. Due to rebuilding it's all messed up and for some it takes unusual skills to understand which way to follow. But for me it was just an enjoyment cuz i was 20 mins till work with 10 mins to spare... So, I was close to i595 and it was the last connection of two traffic lanes, when I decided, like always, not to be in a hurry but act more like a car, not to piss other motorists by splitting lanes. So i waited for my turn to move into opposite lane when i saw a white altima moving really close to the bumper of the Firebird I was planning to follow. So i thought: Duh, this sob just missed me... I was wrong, he saw me pretty clear, cuz when i was moving closer to fill the space in between he accelerated and closed the gap I was planning to move in... So i said to my self, I'm not gonna fight it and just went splitting like 6 cars ahead... So, I'm absolutely unsatisfied with my behavior, cuz when i remember to flip off a finger i was too far away from that altima |

So... my weekend is almost here... and I haven't been on a road for quite a long time. So it's time to plan something different. And I'll call it "Okeechobee circle ride" need to make a patch and something else to celebrate it
So here is the map: https://maps.google.com/maps?saddr=I...=1,2,3&t=m&z=9 The planning is - no planning. Depending on how my butt would sore I'll ride back by US27 or Turnpike. Most likely I'll depart around 10-11 am so i could make a trip with sun light. If anyone want to join or meet pm! |

So I've made it! Pretty much 250 miles, 8 hours and lots of fun and Floridian landscape! There is no way you could come and not like it!
Don't have much to tell, I'll let pics to do it for me. The most amazing part of the trip was meet up with Phantom owner who was doing the same ride as I'm and with whom we team up for nice lunch on a hidden treasure food spot and had a nice conversation, even his Chicago roots haven't stopped us from a good ride =) PS: No offense to Chicago natives, i just don't like your fella in White House lol Okay, so first was US27, previously it was kinda empty road with bugs trying to cover your helmet with their own bodies kamikaze style, now it's lots of trucks and bugs all together =) ![]() The next stop was at John Stretch Memorial Park, there i stretched legs and ate some snacks, and of course took few pics: ![]() BTW what surprised me the most is closed bathrooms... Then it was a nice ride up to a Herbert Hoover Dike if you'll be in the area i highly recommend to stop out there they have really nice spot to take pictures and observe surrounding: ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() After that I was going by state 78 and meet up with the fella i described in the start =) Next stop for us was a dumb which controls a water flow for palm beach county we got there right on time =) ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Then it was a long ride home =) Hopefully my vis-a-vis after my encouragement will attend or section of forum =) |
