Last year I was pretty dissappointed with my ride to Daytona. On the way there I rode up I 75 to 42 and cut across. On the way back I just shot across I 4 and down I 75.
This year I was thinking about either going 64 to 98 to 70, and then head north up via 1, and 1a. Plan B would just be crossing on 70 to 1. Any one have any input on either one of these routes to bike week this year? I just getting sick and tired of so much interstate travel to Daytona every year.

From your route description I take it you live south of Tampa on the west coast. If so, one nice route is get to US 301 north of Tampa, take it up to Ocala and hit HWY 40 east into Ormond Beach. The only crappy traffic you will encounter {other than Tampa
EZ & scenic ride.
