Default Beautiful Cold ride yesterday. *1st long solo ride*

Saturday would have been nice with it being warmer, but it rained all day

Yesterday my parents took off to the RV show on their Wing and I was going to go but decided I wanted to take a nice ride myself

TEMP WHEN I LEFT - 61 degrees with LOTS OF SUN

1. Headed out of the neighborhood down kingsway rd up through the Orange Grove Country part of Kingsway out to Lake Thonotosassa,
2. took a left and went around past all the GORGEOUS houses.
3. Right on Taylor road, swung around the back side of the lake down Fort King to KNights Griffen Road,
4. Right on macintosh back down to THonotosassa road, left on Taylor... Uturn near the LandFill back up to Main Street and left on 301.
5. 301 to Symmes Road, stopped to see a friend and get some water.
6. 301 to Boyette right on balm riverview
7. Left on Rhodine, right on Balm-Boyette
8. Road the nice backwoods sweeping curves up to Balm-Wimauma then back down Balm-Boyette, stopped to see my old shop teacher
9. Right on Fishhawk BLVD, left on Lithia Pinecrest, stop for some hot coffee (it was getting COLD at this point).
10. Right on bloomingdale, Left on pearson to SR60, left on 60, stop at walmart to buy a blootooth headset for the phone (figured I could use it for tunes in one ear while on the bike, still too much wind noise, oh well).
11. Right onto SR 60, right onto kingsway rd to home

Temp when I got home
50 - dark cloudy and COLD (face was numb for a bit)

overall Distance.
81.4 miles

PS.. anyone have 200 bucks I can borrow to get a windshield to keep from being a motor-cicle

HAHAHAHA j/k

The windshield makes a HUGE difference in the cold weather. I am glad that the Wing has the full fairing and windshield, the only thing I want to add is the air deflectors that mount under the mirrors and keep the wind off my hands.

I rode to work today and it showed 52 degrees.

Took off yesterday morning it was about 55 degrees here at home at 10am. Rode for 2+ hours up to just above Gainesville (Alachua) for a club meeting. Temp up there at that point may have been about 50 and it got no warmer!!

Took a while to thaw out. Had lunch & our meeting then it was time to head back again. BRRRRR!!!!!

Put over 200 miles in. BRRRRR!!!!

For you 36 is cold...

For an eskimo that would be tropical!!

For us Floridians (native or naturalized) 36 would be almost like absolute zero!!!

Just a couple of ideas of places to check out:

http://www.ridenow.com/orlando/default.aspx

http://www.helmetshop.com/

Helmet Shop is supposed to have really good deals; they are in Daytona but it's not too far from Orlando.

Let us know when & where you are I might be able to ride down & meet up with everyone.
