You guys are making me jealous, still have ice/snow pack on the roads in my neighborhood, plus some in places on the hwy's to make it interesting if I did get out.

Maybe Saturday, before the next snow storm.

You be careful out there Oldman. Ain't nutn like hitting an icy patch on a corner, or coming to a stop. BTW that reminds me of a story.
Getting off i-80 at Truckee (downtown exit) I was on my old 76 goldwing. That particular ramp is down hill from the freeway and at the bottom is a stop sign. and on that day the road was covered with snow and ice. When I applied the brakes I swear that bike picked up speed as I slid through the intersection. I kept it upright but my butt sure chewed a hole in the seat.

Many years ago when we lived in Prineville, OR, I had a CB 450 with trial tires on it. Rode it nearly year round due to us only having one vehicle (so DW could have the car to take kids where they needed to go). I rode on snowpack roads to work during the winter, then had clear payment to come home on. One morning, after not having snow for several weeks, I approached a corner that T'ed into a major road coming into town. I didn't slow down like I should, so end up sliding onto this busy road. Thankfully no car/truck were coming either way. The rear end broke loose sliding to the right, I was planning on making a left turn. Stomp my left foot on the snowpack, which put me up right again heading down the hwy, just like I planned it. I did have a pretty good grip on the seat by that time

I do wait till roads are clear in neighborhood now. By then the flats are all clear. Lot smarter/wiser now. But getting the itch to ride pretty bad now, been almost 3 weeks. As I have two bikes and only one battery tender, do go out and talk to the bikes while changing the wires. But haven't started going Vrooooom yet.

LOL... I did almost the same thing in a Suzuki Samurai getting off at the Shell station right before Boreal. Except I went through the intersection sideways. I'd imagine on a bike it'd be pretty exciting too.
