Default My First Ride on "The Snake", a.k.a. The Rock Store run

What a blast! Just went up there yesterday, since it's THE place to ride if you are in the area. There's a guy up there just snapping away, and got this shot of me, which I can buy if I wanted.

But, since my bike isn't complete until this Tues (my windshield is missing), I'll wait and go back once my windshield is complete.

Had to put the fairing on first to get a feel of how tall a windshield I want, I'm going with a short 5" shield.

I was up there yesterday, a zoo! Coming down the snake I must have passed 30 sports bikes and a dozen cage canyon racers as well, let alone the 150 bikes at the Rock Store.

Wait until you encounter the skateboarders . . . that'll brighten up your day.

If nothing else, it's a great place to go and get a pretty professional picture of yourself.

I'm looking to create a route, one that lasts for a couple of hours at least, that would mostly be between the 101 and PCH, thru all the canyons and rideable sideroads. Anyone ever plot a nice long ride like that?

I was just there last week, awesome place. You should check out this place right by there, it's a lot more relaxed and less crowded. A lot less people racing down the road and i haven't seen any skateboarders there yet.

Just go down kanan road and go one street past Troutdale. It's called Rustie Canyon Grill, totally beats Rock House.

I think the Cielo Wine bar is on Sierra Creek, and this place is more like a general store with awesome food, here is the website.

Have you ever been to Neptune's Net on the PCH (I'm pretty sure everyone in SoCal has been there)
