Default Moon Shine

Yeah right. Not from a teetotaler! BUT, I have a lot more respect for Oldman.
As I left out of here this morning to get these full moon shots, I negelected to put on my gloves. Tiz only 47 degrees, not really that cold, huh George?
Well I am here to tell ya, things shrunk so bad I almost pissed myself trying to find it. And my icy cold fingers didn't help one bit.

So any way, here is all I could get, not wanting to stand around in the cold and I was beginning to shake, more than my camera's anti shake could tolerate.

Now here is where that Nikon D70 might really shine. I wanted a closeup of the moon with the ole Shadow in the foreground.

My poor ole PAS gave me all it could, but that just isn't good enough.

And of course when I spun around to shoot into the sun my little Kodak just crapped itself!
Now I can lighten things up, but it's not really the effect I want. I need you guys to know I ain't slacking, I still get out somewhat early.

You know what? I don't like this cold shock. I might just well heed Oldman's warning's and wait till the sun shine's Nelly.

Default Moonshine

And I thought this was going to be a post about Moonshine Road, between Old Marysville Rd and 49.

That was our high yesterday.

You haven't lived till you have to take a dump in 30 dgree below zero temps in the middle of the woods in 3' of snow. Then you can talk about thing(s) shrinking up

Now Frank...... being as it was that cold, how's come you didn't take KT with the heated seat, heated grips, nice comfortable fairing, up and down windshield, custom OEM Lowers, AM/FM/CD Player and enjoy the ride....
Now when you ride them Shadow's (I know you are spoiled), you gotta have.........Electric Jacket Liner, Electric Gloves, Engine Guard Chaps, Lowers, Sheepskin Seatcover, Leather Jacket and Chaps, Long John's or Overpants, Insulated Boots and this is just after the temp drops down to 60 degree's.............
Oh and by the way, I to thought you were talking about that place down southern CA where you stand along the Railroad tracks and Moon the train when it goes by........ My Bad.........

You don't need all that stuff till the temps get below 35 when you live on this side of the mountain and ride a Shadow. Anytime it gets below 35, then you break out the heavier gloves and actually put on boots (put the flip flops and shorts away for the winter).

Way back when, when I lived at Lake Tahoe, I would ride my old wing for very short rides in 20's. On some very cold, but sunny days I would strap my ski's to the side of my wing and ride up Mt. Rose Hwy to go skiing. Sure would get the gawks.
BTW, you cannot stop a goldwing going down a hill that has snow or ice on it. That's where I learned to pray really fast.
I don't get to ride today. Have to help the wife's son move. Why is it when ever anyone finds out you are not working, they find ways to put you to work?
