Default Lake Erie Tri-State Rides

Well school is done for a bit (currently getting my masters) and I thought I would add to the Lake Erie Tri-State section.

What I figured we could do here is list good "rides" in this area. Not the Poker Runs or other group stuff coming up, but just nice roads or destinations that you and your other riders can pick up on a Saturday or Sunday and take a ride. Nothing organized.

One I did last year was Pennsylvania Rt. 19 from Mercer to Presque Isle State Park in Erie.

This is a nice route of rolling hills and farmland. Very rural other than going through Meadville and Erie. Plenty of one redlight towns on the way. Presque Isle is very picturesque and has lots of restaurants and attractions right there.

2-2.5 hr trip each way. Nice day long trip. Very low stress.

Another one that I do commonly is the Trumbull County, Ohio "circle" This is another low-key, rural, farmland ride that is very relaxing. Northern trumbull is the rural part while the southern part is suburban. Plenty of places to stop.

i think this is a great idea!!

one little ride i like to take is PA 528 from Evans City to Morraine State Park - lots of farmland and a nice chilled out ride - altho it is a bit too short of a ride

I put this on the ride board. I just found out that we have our own board. I'm a little slow . June 9 is a fallen vet memorial ride that starts in Franklin PA. The ride is approx 100 mile and ends up in Hermitage for a picnic. The ride is 10.00 with 3.00 for the picnic. I will be riding. I am working on a date for a Kinzua ride. Tim
