Default great ride today

Today the wife and I took off on the back roads to Fredericksburg, had a beer and brat at the brewry. The wife did some shopping then up 16 to llano then down 71 home was a great ride and weather was perfect.

Sounds great..that's what it's all about! I took the Concours to Champion Motorsports in Roswell last Friday for a minor issue. I took a scenic route around thru the Bottomless Lakes State Park on the way home. Nice little ride for a Friday away from work.

I need to get back up there and do a little exploring. I was surprised that I had never been on that stretch of backroads before. That road led to the park headquarters and required a user fee to go further, so I whipped a U and headed home.

TCB,
There is actually a way to ride all the way around the lakes, with a nice lookout point at the top. There is also a good road that runs along the river between the lakes and Roswel, called "River Road". Who would have thought? I have a good friend who lives in Hagerman, and when I visit him, I have ridden several of those roads up that way.

I've seen the River Road from the Roswell/Tatum hiway, just wasn't sure how to get down to it until the other day. When I got to the park headquarters, I figured I'd save the exploration for another day. I had some things to do when I got home, so I scurried on back to Hobbs. Thanks, from another Terry.

Didn't swing by Willow City Loop? Whenever I'm in that area, I try to ride through it. Just about every road is a good riding road out in that area, and yesterday (and today) are just about perfect weather!!
