Default Newbie, saying Hello!, and Meet-n-Greet 2008

Hello, all. Been watching the goings-on here a couple weeks now, and finally got around to joining up. Bought my '97 Spirit on 01Dec07, and after installing new clutch facings ("slipping"), one exhaust manifold stud ("stripping"), and a new rear tire ("gripping"), all's well in my garage again! Just got back from a 38-mile joyride this evening. Am looking for excuses to ride. Told the spousal unit about the April get-together, and she seems up for it. Anything concrete yet on date / location / hotel? I'm a farmer, and Feb. / Mar. are our planting months, but should be able to get away one weekend in April. Anyone on this list from the Rio Grande Valley? I'd love to hear from you. Anyway, look forward to future info exchanges w/ ya'll.

My son went to school in Harlingen, so I'm familiar with South Texas. Mom winters down there and have a step sister that lives ON the island. I'd love to get down there and ride. Also up for an April get together. Just make sure everybody is boned up on group riding.

"Spousal Unit", I don't care who you are, now that's funny. Been in Houston for over 10 years now but I'm originally from Progreso and the "Spousal Unit" is from Weslaco.

I suppose the "RedAnt1" couldn't POSSIBLY have anything to do with the Progresso mascot, now could it?

No, absolutely not. It just came to me one day.
