Best advice is tune into the weather conditions, even on a beautiful sunny day the conditions on the mountain can be quite different. A young lady on another board had the misfortune of doing the ride last year an founf herself dealing with extreme fog and drizzle, and though she was able to negotiate the road up and down it turned out to be a harrowing rather then enjoyable experience.

If you are a guy, keep machismo in check, this is not the place to try to prove what a world class rider you are, in the first place you won't be imprssing anyone, and secondly you will most likely find out you are not as good as you think. Make sure you brakes are in good working order, and pull off on the way back down if you sense fade, let em cool down, especially so if you are doing it two up Two up by the way is a great way to do , that way you always have a camera person at the ready.

Thank You for the advice. I was figuring on stoping on the way down to take pictures and let the brakes cool a bit. The worst I will have to do is take the train if the weather is bad up top.
