Default Rode on Natchez Trace yesterday

Man, what perfect weather we had yesterday. Me and a couple of buddies rode to Franklin and hopped on the Trace. Rode a good piece down it and stopped at Puckett's grocery in Leipers Fork on the way back. Put about 200 miles on the old girl. Fantastic ride. Saw some deer, turkeys, rabbits, squirrel, and a groundhog along the way.
One of these days I want to take a weekend and ride it all the way down to Natchez Mississippi and back.

Go for it man! pretty ride, especially closer to fall. Be aware that when you get close to Jackson, MS that a portion of the parkway is closed. I'm not sure when it will reopen.

Me and some friends are riding the trace on may 5th, that's a sudsy afternoon. I am really looking forward to it. We are going from Jackson to somewhere south. I don't really know if we have a destination yet. Just planning on having a nice day on the road.

Me, too. But I'll need more than a weekend to do it.

I`ve not rode any of it except MS portions, BUT it was good riding!!!
I just recently learned that this one is longer than just MS...
Any ride is a good one! Just some better than others...
Was working in Tupelo, back in the eighties, when I first learned of the "Trace"

I live about 2 min from the terminus of the trace and make a trip to Puckets or Country Boy Restaurant at least twice per week. It is so relaxing not having trucks and intersections to worry about. There are some good sites on the net for you long-haulers showing rest stops, fuel availability, and points of interest.
