Ok, well I will try that stuff first and see what happens, intended to change the plugs anyway, where would the fuel filter be perhaps ?
is there any other vacum tubes besides the boots from the carbs I should look at ? not really up on the new bikes, up to now the newest bike I ever had was a 1982, and at present I also have a 1979 suzuki gs550L, which is ok but no longer reliable transportation and parts are getting way to hard to find, so it's the sale papers for that one , anyone interested ?
anyway, thanks for all the feedback and advice, I love to ride and looking forward to a nice long summer riding hopefully I can get my wife on too that would be great , thanks again.

Ok, so here I am again... Changed the plugs, whomever did it before had totally wrong plugs in it, ( according to the book and their list ) so I I put the correct ones that it called for in my geographical area, changed the oil, pulled the air cleaner off checked the filter, the air cleaner was NOT correctly fitted to the air intake had a bit of gap, the rubber seal was not sealed tight inside the air cleaner when I pulled it off so I made sure it was when I put it back on, looks as if someone de-snorkled it when they changed the exhaust . when I was done you could tell a difference in the idle, so I took it for a spin, it was a big difference, yes I ran some sea foam through it too, but it still stumbled when I gave her the throttle unless I pulled the choke a quarter of the way out, THEN i got the response I was expecting, so I broke down and took it to the honda dealer to have the carbs cleaned and checked, have not got it back yet, ( only been there since tue. and now fri. ) called and they said they had to order new flow valves, I said wtf is that, the guy chuckled and said it was a jet inside that was showing some wear, he said he could have put it back together but I would have had to bring it back in in about a month so he thought he would save me some time and money, so..... sadly I am still waiting to see if it helped, gonna be real pissed if it didnt though .
still havent figured out the pic thing though.... but I will, everybody that sees and hears it says WOW, u got a good deal .
