Default Hello From where I ride

Tried to post this as my signature, but I am not a fully up to speed on this forum's procedures. So here is the picture - hopefully inserted into the message instead of a gallery.

This about 8 miles from my home. Used to be "Cattle Country", but now for me at least it is Shadow Land. A little learning experience with the Gimp photo editor on this one to insert the text etc.

The skyline does look like it's been masked in. Even at that...the photo looks great. You definitely got your signature rolling now.

To Craig and Floyd, yes the sky is masked, it is from a second shot at the same time/location, but one full f-stop under exposed so the clouds appear darker. The bike is also enhanced (though less dramatically, notice it's lighter thru the spokes of the front wheel) with a third exposure one f-stop over exposed. My camera has a setting to snap all three in about a second as I hold the button down. Combining three exposures like this is usually called high dynamic range (HDR) though usually the exposures are merged, not completely masked to the lowest exposure as the sky is in this case. It was a cold gray flat day, but I was high from riding, the scene was dramatic, and I wanted the picture to reflect that.
