I agree, keep the spammers out. I run a PHP forum and the daily attempts to invade are in the hundreds. The bots have figured out how to bypass CAPTCHA
(Completely Automated Public Turing test to tell Computers and Humans Apart) and they use disarming names like "JuliesHonda"

The mildest invasion is an endless stream of ads or misleading URLS. The more serious ones are when they load your server or site with illegal first run movies like "Hunger Games" in ten different languages. They then sell password access to your server from a third party site. They get the money and you are stuck with the copyright infringement. Unless you constantly monitor upload bandwidth you may not even be aware of it.

Hmm im not sure how Pirate or clubx handles it but this is the first ive ever heard about a 3 post rule. Im curious how pirate4x4 does now bc that site is HUGE.
