Default Sabre 1100 Exhaust/2nd Post

Hi All,

I am trying to figure out some details on exhaust before I return home from my deployment. Unfortunately I have very limited internet access and limited magazine selection to read. My plan is to change the exhaust on my 2001 Sabre 1100 to something like the Hard Krome Stripper/Classic short style exhaust. Is there any other manufacturers of the short style exhaust that are not to loud? I was hoping to keep my hearing intact if possible. Any suggestion would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you for your input

Chas

I think most still come with baffles you can remove to make even louder but these pipes will still be a little louder and sound better than stock while increasing performance. Leave your baffles in.... Cobra Slashcut's are what I am thinking for mine...

Hey JetDriver480 thanks for the info, I was hoping to find some video of short tube style exhaust so I could hear how it sounds. I know it wont be the same as standing by it but it should give me an idea. If you come across any video of a Sabre 1100 with Hard Krome Strippers/Classic II please let me know. Yes I agree keeping the baffles in will definitely save on the hearing.

Thanks again

Have a 2004 Sabre 1100 with Hard Krome American Classics on it. Granted, mine are for the Spirit so they don't hang on the bike completely right (can't get the right side cover on). They sound great, I think. Loud when I'm on the throttle, not so loud when idling or strolling down my street.

Thanks Raenedaz,

I am kind of leaning towards the Hard Krome Stripper/Classic system because I like the short length and the pipes line up nice. I am primarily worried about upsetting the neighbors and my hearing? I was wondering if I could put a baffle or silencer in the ends? I would be fine with the stock sound or close, I just don't like the stock pipe configuration.
