Default Matte black finish for 2010 phantom

Does anyone know of a way to put a matte black finish over the glossy black on a 2010 phantom?
The only difference I can see between the 2010-2011 and the 2012 is the newest model has a semi gloss matte finish on the tank and fenders

If you're going to want to spray a clear type coat, you might as well spray it with the correct type of paint and get the finish you desire.
As for a clear top coat, I'm no paint wizard, but they are usually applied to get gloss finish, as I don't know of a matte clear coat...
I do know that there is a plastic coat paint that you can apply, and if you don't like it, it can be peeled off. Just a suggestion...

There is a matte clear in a spray can, it's what I cleared my bike with after painting. I'm sure it isn't as durable as a baked on auto finish, but it got me the look I was going for.
