I just moved to LA and I don't have a driveway of my own. Does anyone know where I would be able to change the oil on my Shadow Phantom myself? I already got in trouble for changing the oil on my car in a park.

Many people riding long distances will change oil in a Walmart or Automotive parts house parking lot. Go in buy the oil/filter and a cheap oil drain pan/container or even a cheap aluminum roasting pan. Change the oil/filter and then pour the dirty oil back into the container.
Try to find a place that takes used oil, and you can run the old oil right back into the store and throw away the drain pan. Where there is a need and a will...there is always a way.

I'm actually fairly certain (read that as: I've heard before but you should probably check haha) that any place that sells motor oil is also required to take the used stuff in. When in doubt I've never seen an Autozone/O'Reilly's/Advance Auto that doesn't take used motor oil. They also sell everything you need and are a lot more likely to let you (maybe even lend a hand) change the oil in their parking lot.
